Fall Cleaning!

Once every semester, we take the time to tidy up the entire Chapter house. It's definitely hard work, but time really does fly when you have your sisters there to help!

Alumnae Appreciation Brunch

This past Saturday, the collegians of Tau Chapter sat down to a fabulous brunch with many Alpha Gam alumnae. It was a great way to reconnect with sisters we haven't seen in a while and it was amazing to hear stories about what different alumnae had accomplished since their years as collegians.
Thank you to our wonderful Alumnae!
A big thank you to Samantha McCready, who made all of the fantastic food for this brunch. Another big thanks goes to Reina, Tau's Alumnae Relations coordinator, for organizing!

We can't wait to see all of you at Feast of Roses! :)

Mixer with ΖΨ!!!

October 11th was Hudson's (our adopted polar bear) birthday. It just so happens that we had a mixer with the gentlemen of Zeta Psi that night and with our social coordinator, Jenn, they thought of a "Happy Birthday Hudson" theme!

Christina, Mrinalini, Amelia, Hilary, Elveena, Alyssa,
Brittney, Kaitlin, Lexy, Yusur, Jenn.
We dressed in black and white semi-formal attire, and Lexy even made the most adorable polar bear cupcakes. They were delicious!

Thank you to Zeta Psi for hosting a fantastic evening for everyone!

Derby Days 2012!

Each year, Sigma Chi International Fraternity hosts a week long philanthropy event called Derby Days. This year, the Beta Omega chapter of ΣΧ is fundraising for the Children's Miracle Network.

The best part is that they let all of the sororities on their campus help with fundraising. Whichever sorority raises the most money for the cause, will be given a portion of all finances to donate to the charity of their choice!  Needless to say, Tau wanted to take part in this fantastic opportunity.

Monday
We made sure to get the word out about Derby Days by handing out leaflets about all of the activities that will be happening throughout the week. Turns out, we took the most photos and were given a fancy ribbon for our efforts!

YAY!
Tuesday
There was a BBQ! It was excellent because as an added bonus the Sigs spray painted us shirts with our letters on them. All of the girls were able to wear these to the rest of the week's events, so it was very handy in the end!

Wednesday
Their front lawn was decorated with tables of baked goods. People passing by had the chance to purchase cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and pies! We even had two Sigs come to the house and help us bake when we were preparing!

Friday
They closed the week off with a Casino Night. Results TBA. The sisterhood of Alpha Gamma Delta would like to thank the brothers of Sigma Chi for hosting an unforgettable week of philanthropic events. We can't until next year!

Thanksgiving Dinner!

During this time of year, it's important to be thankful for the people you love. Last Thursday night I was surrounded by my fantastic sisters for our Thanksgiving dinner. The conversation was lively, the food was AMAZING, and most of all, all of us got a chance to spend time together before everyone went home for the weekend!

Blue Jays Game!

SPORTS! SPORTS! SPORTS!

That's all we Alpha Gams had on our mind this Tuesday. Tau went to support the Toronto Blue Jays in one of their last games of the season!

Climbing the slope to 500 level ;)
"To develop health and vigor of body"
At first we were upset because Rasmus, Bautista, and Encarnacion weren't in the lineup, but overall it was a great game! Johnson hit a home-run, and we even got a shout out on the big screen!

The Jays took the game against the Minnesota Twins 4-3. We can't wait to come out to more baseball games in the spring!

Busy Sunday!

September 30th 2012 was a busy day for us Alpha Gams! Some collegians joined our alumnae chapter at the CIBC Run for the Cure. This event went towards breast cancer research and the 'Squirrels, Pearls, and Alpha Gam Girls' team went out and had an amazing time!

Just crossed the finish line!
Meanwhile, at the Toronto Zoo, six of our collegians were attending an event called "Parent's Day".

"Not four years, but for life."
Last year, Tau raised enough money to adopt the polar bear Hudson. Today, Jenn, Lexy, Nicole, Elveena, Rebecca, and Hilary were given the chance to go and see him.

Meeting Hudson was a great opportunity for these girls and I know that they all grew closer as sisters throughout the day. The next trip to the Toronto Zoo is on October 21st, keep your eyes peeled for more updates!
